Our visit with Baby Adalie and Meghan

Hi All!
As some of you may know I flew to Mississippi last week to see Meghan, James and Adalie Darlson. Meg and I have been friends since our first year in college, to be exact from our first day of college and I wanted to see their house, (which was adorable) and just see what their life is like in MS. before they relocate to Arizona this fall/winter. They took me to the Air Force base and I got to see where James spends his days (very impressive) and I was able to meet their close friends Celia & Tim-which was fun as well! I flew up in order to drive back to Fla. with them becuase it's a long drive to do alone and Meg and Miss Adalie will be down for the next several weeks!! Here are some picture of their visit with us! We cherished the 2 nights we had the both of them-Adalie is the sweetest, calmest and just all around BEST baby I've ever met (not to mention the most beautiful)! The three of us were bummed when they headed to Titusville Sunday morning. Enjoy these adorable pics.

My 30 week baby belly

Here's the belly as of Sunday (June 29th). We have 10 weeks (at the most) left. But his arrival is the one thing we can't plan...we'll just have to wait and see when he's ready. So far the pregnancy has been a healthy and energetic one! I've slowed down a little since the beginning of my 3rd trimester but other than a "light headed" moment every once in awhile, it's been great. My triple screen test which I had about 10 weeks ago or so came back negative for a high chance of certain genetic defects such as, neural tube defects, down syndrome etc. so that was a huge relief. Additionally, my blood-work for gestational diabetes also came back negative. At my doctor's appointment last Monday, Dr. Wells said that Jack is head down-which I kind of suspected, seeing as most of the kicks I feel are up towards my rib cage. My next appointment is Tuesday July 8th. I'll be sure to post any news I have afterwards!!

Matt, Claire and Baby Jack

Hi Everyone!!!

Well, I finally broke down and decided to be a blogger! I thought what better time to share what's going on with us then with baby Jack on the way. There are so many people we love, who live far from us and I don't want anyone to miss out on any of Jack's "firsts." So, check back with us often, especially after the big day...which is September 9th, but as you may know the chances of him coming on his due date are slim. I posted one of our favorite sonogram pics of the little guy, it was his very first picture (and one of our favorites) he's a whole lot bigger now!!!
